Meet Dave Aquilina – DC Team Member.

David is a very familiar face in the Force warehouse, having worked for Force since 2001.  An “Avid” music fan, David leisure time is spent enjoying almost all genres of music and everything related.  As a team member who’s been with Force for some time, David plays an integral part in training new members in the DC team.

What is your role at Force? I work alongside the heroes and heroines of the DC Underworld (Distribution Centre), often doing order induction and aiming to help get those sometimes seemingly endless 1’s, 3’s and 5’s out the door. Sometimes what I do extends into other things... lots of other equalizer-type in-between stuff that hopefully fills the gaps and helps keep things rolling, etc. The DC’ers know all about it and I don’t really know how to talk it up. I’ll have to wait and see what the next Performance Review brings up...

How do you like to spend your spare time? Creativity is, strangely enough, a form of relaxation for me, so I often kick back and get busy working on my own (studio) tunes or remixing someone else’s. I also produced a strange little music video for the first time recently, which was a very rewarding experience. I also get into Photoshop, occasionally doing restorations and weird original art projects. Away from that, it’s hanging about with my kids, catching up with friends and family, or going out driving, to name a few.

What kind of music are you into? Those who know me well know how mad I am on music. I’ve always had fairly eclectic preferences. I have so many favourite styles and genres. Some of them may surprise you. I pretty much like anything except for what I can only term ‘manufactured’ music. You know... that calculated, image-oriented stuff that’s put out there just to shift units and which often makes the top 5 for that very reason. For me, there’s only two kinds of music...good, or bloody horrible!!
